Oceano is located in the Central Pacific, home to beautiful national parks and wildlife refuge that shelter large numbers of animals and vegetation such as the Carara National Park, known especially for bird watching of species like the Scarlet Macaw that is easily observed in the area. Just 50 minutes away you can also find the Manuel Antonio National Park, famous for its beautiful beaches and number of animals that can be seen such as capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, coatis and others.
The Scarlet Macaw is an exotic bird of Costa Rica that lives mainly in the area of Jacó and Carara National Park and is easily observed flying over Oceano.
The Hummingbird is a tiny bird that feeds on nectar from flowers, has the ability to fly at high speed and the females visit their nest up to 140 times a day to feed their young.
The Green Iguana is a very beautiful and common reptile in Costa Rica, in the Jaco area it is very easy to see because they are very friendly, so much dwells in populated areas.
The Sabanera is really common in the Central Pacific of Costa Rica, it is not a poisonous snake and can cause no danger to people, it is common to observe it in trees and their appearance is beautiful and menacing at the same time.
Birth of Turtles
With some luck and at the right time, one in Jaco can very likely observe a turtle birth, it is a unique and impressive experience, that shows how amazing nature and wildlife is in Costa Rica.
